This anti-theft compartment is usually used in cars and trucks. It allows easy extraction of the CB transceiver from its support. It avoids having to disconnect the antenna and the 12 Volt power supply manually. The comparments electronical contacts are of the terminal lug type, used in the automobile industry and are very reliable.
